What is a broadcast on a Telegram bot?
A broadcast is a message a Telegram bot sends to many leads at once, at the moment you choose. Each lead gets it in a private chat with the bot, and can reply or tap a button.
Not the same as a broadcast channel
“Broadcast” also gets used for Telegram channels, which is a different thing. Telegram describes a channel as a tool for broadcasting public messages to large audiences. People follow it and read your posts.
- Bot broadcast: a private message from your bot to each lead.
- Broadcast channel: one feed that all subscribers read.
Who can receive it
Only people who already talked to the bot. Telegram’s documentation says bots can’t start conversations with users. Channel or group members who never opened the bot aren’t included.
In Flow4You
A broadcast can go out right away or be scheduled in Brasília time. You filter the audience by tag and by bot, with an estimate before sending. The content is built in the same editor as a conversation flow, minus the AI Agent block. The app itself is in Portuguese today.
